So for a fraction of the cost of wood, laminate, or carpet, I decided to stain and seal our basement floor. Took about 5 days, start-to-finish, but I am pretty excited about the result. Cracks and discolorations are still apparent through the stain, but I’m hoping it just adds character to the overall effect! We will start to move our furniture back in today and it will be usable (and most importantly, clean!!!)
